Boy Scouts find human remains on Arizona Strip — Investigators are working to identify the remains of a human skeleton found over the weekend by a group of Boy Scouts hiking through the Arizona Strip. The human bones, including a skull, were found scattered across a small area south of Hurricane, across the Arizona border. Several other bones were found, as well as hair and some personal belongings, including a pair of pants and blanket, according to members of the Scout group who came across the remains. There was no identification made as of Monday morning, and witnesses said it was difficult even to say whether the remains belonged to a male or female. There was also no information on how long ago the person had died. Power officials searching for fixes to fox problem — For the second time in as many months, a fox snuck into a transformer cabinet at a power substation in Green Valley late Saturday, electrocuting itself and knocking the power out for large sections of the west side of St. George. The fox incidents have been fodder for jokes for area residents, but representatives with the city of St. George Energy Services Department are looking at it as a serious problem, BOY SCOUT TROOP 1871 Boy Scouts from Cedar City found human remains, including this skull, during a hike Saturday, Nov. 15, on the Arizona Strip. and officials said Monday they are working to secure the substation and ensure that future intruders can’t reach any energized lines. Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster Pastafarian’ makes statement — A St. George woman exercised her religious rights recently when she had her Utah driver’s license photo taken wearing a colander over her head. Asia Lemmon, also known as Jessica Steinhauser, an atheist and member of the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, said she wanted to wear the colander, also known as a pasta strainer, on her head for the photo to make a statement.
